The SARA Society charges a modest adoption fee to help defray the costs associated with the veterinarian bills and care of the animal while at the shelter. For adoption fees, please call the SARA Line at 604-580-8254 for more information.

Benefits

The adoption fee includes vaccination, deworming, spaying/neutering, tattoo, a cardboard pet carrier (cats) or collar and leash (dogs), and a free veterinarian check at the PETsMART Vetrinarian Clinic within 15 days from date of adoption.

Returns

The SARA Society has a return policy in place if you should find it does not work out with your new pet. Returns including all original paperwork can be arranged by calling the Delta Animal Hospital at 604-596-8252 to arrange a drop-off time. If you adopted an animal from the Luv-A-Pet Adoption Center located at PETsMART, please note that all returns are only accepted at Delta Animal Hospital and that we do not accept returns at PETsMART.

Animals returned within 15 days from the date of adoption will receive a full refund, and animals returned within 30 days from date of adoption will receive a partial refund minus $10 to cover administrative fees. All animals adopted from the SARA Society can be returned at any time, however refunds will only be honoured within the first 30 days of adoption.
